"Trump is bullshit. Trump is the death of America,” message on the site reads. “I can help. I am terminally ill. I’m going to die soon. I want to do something good for this country and for this world. I want to kill Trump."

The website, titled “Destroy Trump,” appeared on the dark web two weeks ago and claims to have already raised $13,245 of its $30,000 goal. "I need your help. I need money,” the message continues. “Every dollar will help. I need to raise $30000. We don’t have much time left. Please help me! Let’s do it together!" [source]

12.7.24: December 7th ... Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Asians make up about 7% of the USA population; about 70% of population of Hawai'i. And today, Japanese Americans are the second largest Asian group in the islands next to Filipinos. Both groups contribute immeasurable value to the state and nation.

Even if they come from poorer, less educated families, Asian Americans significantly outperform White students by fifth grade. Asians are many of the BEST & BRIGHTEST in America. Their families have high expectations while providing strong support. They inspire the American Dream.

USA 1898 Annexation of Hawai'i Thwarted Japan's Plans of Occupation

December 7, 2024 HISTORICAL FEATURE... Japan had long seen Hawai'i as part of its Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. Before that term was even coined, as early as the 1870s, Japanese Foreign Secretary Taneomi Soejima reportedly “considered taking over the [Hawaiian] Islands.” [3]

In 1889, Japan prepared a secret 100-year plan to take over “American and British possessions in the Pacific, including Hawai'i.” [4] Japanese activist Keishiro Inoue “urged throughout the 1890s that Japan must rule Hawai'i in order to protect itself in the Pacific.” [5]

These plans were fueled by the large number of Japanese who had emigrated to Hawai'i to work in the sugar industry. From the late 1800s to the mid-20th century, the Japanese became Hawaii’s largest ethnic population, 160,000 strong by 1941. [6] Tokyo regarded these expatriates as a form of territorial expansion, if not a forerunner of occupation

By the 1890s, Hawaii’s leaders who overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy knew that “Hawai'i was fair game for some colonial power, and rather than see their investments . . . fall under control of England, France, Germany, or Japan . . . they opted for a permanent tie with America through Annexation.” [7]

Japan opposed annexation. Its minister in Washington, Toru Hoshi, disingenuously assured Secretary of State John Sherman that “Japan ‘did not have and never did have’ designs upon the integrity and sovereignty of Hawai'i.” In fact, Hoshi had recommended to the Japanese Foreign Minister that, to prevent annexation, “a strong naval armament should be at once dispatched for the purpose of occupying the islands by force.” [8]

Japan’s warship Naniwa was sent to Honolulu to discourage annexation. But that hastened passage in part to keep “Hawai'i from Japan’s clutches.” [9]

As the prominent U.S. Senator George Frisbie Hoar declared before Congress, if Hawai'i was not annexed, it “will fall . . . prey to Japan, not by conquest but by immigration. This result all parties agree that we must prevent.” [10]

Hawai'i Officials Confront Local Culture

A handful of local residents were killed or injured during this year's New Year celebration. Lot of noise from officials, but more people are killed annually by drunk drivers. CivilBeat noted city officials began debating fireworks regulations in Honolulu 1927, after multiple people were hospitalized due to serious injuries.

Fireworks were a major issue in 1956, when firefighters responded to a record number of blazes and newspapers warned that the increasing size and power of the “pyrotechnical arsenal” of everyday citizens was an imminent threat to the city. And again in 2001, after an errant firework set an 81-year-old woman’s home on fire killing her and her two dogs.

Officials cannot stop illicit recreational cannabis use, can't block meth in Hawai'i or human trafficking. Laws do not deter human behavior.
